我解读:

我为大家解读的是牛津小学英语5B Unit 9 The English Club Part A 语篇部分,本课课文通过Tony 参观英语俱乐部这一情景自然而然引出学生运用“I am from … I am … I speak …”句型对自我进行介绍,让学生进一步锻炼英语的口头表达能力和综合运用能力。在本课的教学设计中,我运用向学生介绍一个英语俱乐部来,让学生做参观者先来了解英语俱乐部,从而引出课文中的参观者Tony,并借助地图来帮助学生了解课文中出现的几个国家以及相关城市。在语篇教学中,我注重语篇的整体性,首先通过看动画整体感知文本,再让学生带着问题阅读文本,讨论解决问题,最后通过玩欢乐大转盘的游戏让学生将所学文本内化为自己的知识,用自己的语言来描述介绍,对课文重点进行强化复习。并在最后设计中西方文化习俗对比让学生对所学国家有更多地了解,提高学生语篇阅读的兴趣,让学生在学知识的过程中也能有文化的收获,在学英语的同时对祖国有更深刻的认识!

我设计:

一、Teaching Aims:

1.     Enable the students to listen, speak, read and write the new words : visitor, country, UK, British, USA, American, French, city, visit.

2.     Enable the students to listen, speak and read the sentencesAre you from different countries? / I’d like to visit it. / I’m from… I’m… I speak…

3. Enable the students to have a preliminary understanding of the five countries.

五、Teaching process

Step 1: Free talk

T: Good morning! Boys and girls!

S: Good morning! Miss Yang!

T: What day is it today?

S: It’s Monday.

T: What lessons do you have this morning?

S: We have …

T: What subject do you like?

S: I like …

T: Do you have any hobbies?

S: Yes, I do. I like …

T: What do you usually do on Sundays?

S: I usually …

Step 2: Lead in

T: Do you know what do I usually do on Sundays?

S: …

T: I like English. I usually go to the English Club. In the English Club, we speak English, have some English activities, make new friends and so on.

T: Look, this is an English Club. Let’s have a visit. We are visitors now. (Teach “visit” “visitor”)

T: What’s on the wall?

S: There is a map of China.

T: This is our China. I am from China. I am Chinese. Are you from China?

S: Yes, I am.     

T: So you are Chinese too. And we are all Chinese.   

Let’s say together. I am from China. I am Chinese. I love China.

S: I am from China. I am Chinese. I love China.

T: I can speak Chinese (你好) and English (Hello). Can you speak Chinese?

S: Yes.

T: Can you speak English?

S: Yes.

T: Ok. Let’s introduce ourselves in English.

     I am from China.

     I am Chinese.

     I speak …

S: …

Step 3: Presentation

T: So we are from the same country. (Teach “country”)

Our China is a big country. Look, where is it? Show the map

S: It’s Beijing.

T: Is it big?

S: Yes.

T: It’s a big city. I’d like to visit it. (Teach “city”)

Where is it?

S: It’s Shanghai.

T: It’s a big         . I’d like to        it. Can you finish it?

T: There is another visitor coming to the English Club today. Look at the Notice Board. What’s his name?

S: Tony White.

T: Look he is coming. (Listen) Can you catch the information? Where is he from? (Choose the right answer)

S: He is from the USA.

T: Where does he live?

S: He lives in New York.

T:  (Picture “ A map of the world ”) This is the USA. Here is New York.

Are China and the USA the same country?

S: No.

T: They are different countries.  (Teach “different countries” )

Now, the children are talking to Tony White. Let’s see what they are talking about?

1. Watch the cartoon.

  Find out where Tony White would like to visit.

2. Read and underline the words about where the children are from. Then match the children with their countries. (Teach “British”, “the UK”, “French”) 

3. Read after the tape.

4. Read by yourselves and then try to introduce them. (Use a turntable to ask students to introduce one of the children with the help of the information on the blackboard. EG: Tony is from the USA. He lives in New York…)

5. Fill in the blankets. ( Retell the whole passage).

Step 4: Practice

Activities: Make an English Club with your partners. I will come to visit it. (Use the sentences we have learned today and show us your flags when you are talking.)

Read Part A after the tape three times.
